I will probably make you upset with this but there are technically no banned book in the US (there probably are if they give instructions on how to kill someone) but, there are many publications not allowed in school libraries.
I don't profess to know what books you are referring to in your call to not ban any books in school libraries but, in my opinion, that is really for each school board to decide. If their list of books is overly broad then hopefully there will be spirited debate and if the school board is not in alignment with the public, then they might have a new school board after the next election.
I only responded to this because not having a book in a library doesn't mean that book is banned, it just means they don't have that book in the library.
