THURSDAY, 1/12: See my films in NYC!
Join me for a special event tomorrow at The Parkside Lounge.
Ahoy! Please excuse this interruption for a quick reminder — I’m hosting a FREE SCREENING/PARTY/HAPPENING on Thursday, Jan. 12 at NYC’s Parkside Lounge (317 E. Houston St.).
The short films will include DENNY BARRACUDA, which had a great festival run in 2022. Here’s the trailer:
Other films include CONTINUITY ERRORS, written and directed by me; THERE IS NO TRY, written and directed by Dean Haspiel; and THE TIP, co-written and co-directed by Dean and I (aka Nightwork Studio).
Dean and I will also have a post-screening Q&A with actors Madeleine Morrell (who stars in three of the four films!) and Lawrence Trailer.
No RSVP is required, and I’d love to see you there. Dean and I are excited to screen our work, but we also believe in the power of fostering a creative community — so come a little early, stay a little late and you just might meet someone who inspires you and/or you wanna work with in the future.
see ya there!

P.S. The song I wrote (performed by Eytan Mirsky), “If I Could Only Draw,” is now on Spotify! How crazy is that?!

Whitney, can I just say, as someone who's followed you for more than a decade / since Pop Candy days, it is SO cool to see how you and your projects have evolved through the years. I'm inspired by your new foray into short films and how you seem to be a constant experimenter generally. Happy 2023, and thanks for bringing us along for the ride! :)
