On Dec. 1, 1999, I zapped a few paragraphs into cyberspace, hoping someone might read them and—if I dared to dream—perhaps email my hyperlink to a friend.
I had no idea this decision would shift my life, introducing me to tons of wonderful people and experiences for the next 15 years. Somewhere along the way, it probably introduced me to you.
To quote Michael Stipe (as I am wont to do), “I don’t like looking backward. I do like old things.” It makes me cringe to read *anything* I wrote back then, and I don’t want nostalgia to get in the way of what I wanna make next.
But if you’re curious and very forgiving, it all began here:

If you’d like to see something more recent, watch a couple of my films, read a children’s book, check out essays like this one, buy my comics and short stories, finance my play, and/or stay tuned.
To quote Harry Dean Stanton (as I am wont to do), “I change every day. I am still changing.”
Thanks for sticking around!

This is AMAZING, and I'm so grateful the internet introduced me to you and your brilliant brain. XO
I knew Pop Candy when it was a toddler and I thought it was brilliant even then. So glad you have kept it going. It’s gotten better and better every year!! Love ya!
