THANKSGIVING

“Well, that was as delicious as any Thanksgiving dinner I’ve ever had,” Norma told Mitzi from across the table.
“Everything came out perfect, didn’t it?” Mitzi looked down at her plate, a wedding gift from a half-century ago. Both of their husbands had died earlier that year, sprouting their relationship from Friendly Neighbors into something far stranger: Friendly Widows.
“Now what should we do?” Norma asked. “Back when everyone ate at our house, I’d spend at least an hour or two afterward just cleaning up!”
“It should be something we never would’ve done before, like…” Mitzi chuckled.
