I was fortunate to spend time at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, an artists residency that allowed me to focus on my work and meet some incredible writers and artists. Since returning home, I’ve been trying to cling to my calm, inspired and productive self, which isn’t easy when you’re hustling for freelance gigs and avocados cost like $10 now.
