⭐ NEW charity comics project!
Pardon the brief interruption ...
... but I want to tell you about my latest project: It's a benefit comics anthology called PANDEMIX: QUARANTINE COMICS IN THE AGE OF 'RONA. Why am I so psyched? I'll give you five reasons, High Fidelity-style—but first, check out the rad cover by artist Peter Rostovsky:
5 Things to Know About PANDEMIX:
1. I co-edited it! My friend Dean Haspiel and I have been assembling this digital anthology for months. It has been a worthy distraction during these crazy times.
2. It features some of my favorite artists! PANDEMIX contains new, personal work from 19 artists and writers, including Ellen Lindner, Josh Neufeld, Marguerite Dabaie, George O'Connor, Mike Cavallaro ... and on and on. Each comic addresses an aspect of living during a global pandemic.
3. ALL proceeds go to a great cause! The anthology benefits The Hero Initiative, a not-for-profit organization that helps beloved comics creators with emergency medical aid and/or essential financial support.
4. I'm in it! It's the first time I've had a comic published anywhere. Holy moly.
5. It comes out TODAY. Yep, PANDEMIX is available for just $5 at patreon.com/pandemixcomix. I'd be thrilled if you supported it and helped spread the word.
Thanks for listening, and please reach out with any feedback, questions, press inquiries, magical incantations or what have you.
No one involved with this project was paid; we did it because we believe in the importance of art in tough times. I hope you'll support it, but either way, I truly hope you're making time to create things and appreciate the art around us.
Love,
Whitney
